About the position
As an Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for preparing customer orders. This role is fast-paced and physical, taking place in various areas of the warehouse, including merchandise handling, make-on-demand services, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment. Your primary responsibilities will include selecting, packing, and shipping orders, sometimes for our super-fast delivery service that promises delivery in two hours or less. In this position, you will be tasked with receiving and putting away inventory, preparing customer orders for shipment, and loading boxes into trucks. You will utilize scanners to read barcodes on products and follow prompts on screens to complete tasks. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, push utility carts weighing up to 60 pounds, and perform various movements such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. You may also need to navigate stairs and work at heights on a mezzanine, depending on the specific tasks assigned. Adherence to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards is essential in this role.
