In this position, you will be expected to perform various duties, including receiving and preparing inventory for delivery, utilizing technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders, and building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, receive truck deliveries, and follow prompts on screens for task direction. You will be active throughout your shift, which may involve standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. Additionally, you may need to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items, and you may be required to work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine in certain locations. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic, with moving machines such as order pickers and forklifts. You will be expected to adapt to varying temperatures, which can range from 60°F to over 90°F, especially in the truck yard or inside trailers. Noise levels can be high, and hearing protection is provided if necessary.
