Bartender wanted for brunch/dinner & events!

The schedule would be Monday & Tuesday night dinner shifts as well as Saturday & Sunday Brunches. Additional shifts available during weddings & events!

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at the beautiful Sapalta located at Plum Point Lodge on Seneca Lake. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving drinks, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all patrons. Bar seats, lounge and table and limited section is covered by our bartenders here at Sapalta.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking drink orders, and responding to inquiries.
  • Manage inventory levels by tracking drink supplies and placing orders as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and food safety standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to retail math principles.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when applicable.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills during peak hours to ensure timely service.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Knowledge of brewing techniques and various beverage types is a plus.
  • Proficient in retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
  • Understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Previous experience in food service or bartending is preferred but not mandatory.
