**Job Summary:**

As a Grill Cook at Extreme Carnival Eats, you’ll be at the center of the action, grilling mouthwatering carnival foods like burgers, hot dogs, and creative specialties during the Washington State Fair (August/September 2025). You’ll prep ingredients, operate grills, and ensure every dish wows the crowd. If you’re ready to learn and dive into the festive chaos of fair food, join our team for an unforgettable season!


**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare and grill menu items, such as burgers, hot dogs, and carnival specialties, following recipes and standards.
  • Assist with food prep tasks, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
  • Operate grills and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with Washington State health and safety regulations.
  • Restock ingredients and supplies to keep up with fast-paced fair demands.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food during busy fair rushes.
  • Contribute to the fun, high-energy atmosphere of Extreme Carnival Eats.


**Qualifications:**

  • No prior cooking or grill experience required—training provided!
  • Enthusiasm for food and eagerness to learn grill and kitchen techniques.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the Washington State Fair (August/September 2025).
  • Comfortable thriving in a high-energy, fast-paced fair environment.
  • Food Handler’s Permit, or willingness to obtain before the fair starts (required by Washington State).
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
