The position provides strategic support and constructive challenge to ensure the business is building, enhancing, and maintaining an effective framework for compliance with applicable internal policies, laws, and regulations in US.<br><br></span><span>Strong focus will be dedicated to second line compliance oversight of business initiatives like assessing US Consumer Marketing’s new or modified offerings, acquisition, and marketing of products, offers, rewards, and benefits, with specific focus on assessing various risk areas such as Consumer Protections & Fairness and Third-Party risk and working with risk colleagues such as Privacy and Conduct Risk. This position will also support effective compliance risk management oversight to promote safe and scalable marketing and innovation by monitoring the overall effectiveness of the business compliance program via Compliance Risk Assessment, Issue Management Framework, Complaint monitoring, and other areas.<br><br></span><strong><span>Responsibilities:<br></span></strong><ul><li><span>Provide Compliance oversight, guidance and challenge to business stakeholders on compliance/regulatory requirements applicable to projects and processes. This requires providing effective challenges to business stakeholders while also interacting effectively with them and other support units to ensure proper communication and collaboration across organizational lines.<br></span></li><li><span>Review and approval of marketing campaign strategies and customer-facing materials (e.g., marketing collateral) to effectively mitigate compliance risks and provide regulatory guidance on applicability of consumer credit laws including but not limited to Regulation Z, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and a strong focus on UDAAP as well as collaborating with other Compliance Officers subject matter experts when necessary. <br></span></li><li><span> Support an effective Compliance program including Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA), Regulatory Change Management (RCM), and contribute to the Business Unit Compliance Assessments (BUCA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Regulatory Business Self Testing (RBST).<br></span></li><li><span>Drive implementation of policy and regulatory requirements in the areas of UDAAP, general credit card practices, general banking, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations. <br></span></li><li><span>Provide compliance oversight, advisory support and effective challenge for initiatives through assessment governance frameworks, such as New Product Approval (NPA) and New Initiative Assessments (NIA) review process and integration of effective controls, testing and ongoing monitoring into new and existing processes. <br></span></li><li><span>Effectively challenge any Issues and/or Operating Risk Events to ensure timely creation or enhancements of controls, closure of gaps and customer remediation where required.<br></span></li><li><span>Oversee and ensure maintenance of a robust control environment to monitor third-party and conduct risk. <br></span></li><li><span>Keep abreast of U.S. consumer regulations and trends for potential impact to Compliance risk assessments. </span></li><li><span>Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and internal stakeholders.</span></li><li><span>Additional responsibilities based on team needs.<br><br></span></li></ul><strong><span>Minimum Qualifications:<br></span></strong><ul><li><span>Minimum of 3 to 5 years in Compliance or related activities with demonstrated regulatory knowledge of U.S consumer open-end credit laws, consumer protection and regulations governing credit card and banking activities and their impact on company’s products, operations, and services.<br></span></li><li><span>Ability to research, assess, and determine regulatory impact to business initiatives and influence decisions accordingly.<br></span></li><li><span>Strong leadership skills and proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization, including the ability to influence and/or challenge others to achieve desired results.<br></span></li><li><span>Strong people skills and experience working in a matrixed and agile environment and on cross-functional teams.<br></span></li><li><span>Ability to effectively communicate compliance risks and requirements to achieve desired results. <br></span></li><li><span>Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment. <br></span></li><li><span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. <br></span></li><li><span>Prior credit card industry, compliance, legal or risk experience. <br></span></li><li><br><span>Bachelor’s Degree required.<br></span></li></ul><strong><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></strong><ul><li><span>Certified Regulatory Compliance ManCager (CRCM) or similar professional certification preferred.<br></span></li></ul><span></span><span><br><br></span><span>Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits<br><br></span><span>The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
