About the position

You may also work with larger items such as large screen TVs, furniture, and appliances, and receive training on how to handle these heavy bulk items using technology. In this position, you will be expected to perform various duties, including receiving and preparing inventory for delivery, utilizing technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders, and building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. The role requires physical stamina, as you will need to lift up to 49 pounds, receive truck deliveries, and follow prompts on screens for task direction. You will be on your feet for most of your shift, engaging in activities such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. Additionally, you may need to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around, navigate stairs, and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine, depending on the location. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic and involves working around moving machines, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You will experience varying temperatures, which can range from 60°F to 90°F in different areas of the warehouse, and on particularly hot days, temperatures may exceed 90°F in the truck yard or inside trailers. The noise level can be high at times, and hearing protection is provided if needed. The dress code is relaxed, but safety rules must be followed, including wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes and protective safety footwear in certain business units. Responsibilities
