PDF Remediation Specialist ID-1211

As a PDF remediation specialiston the Progressive User Research and Accessibility Services (PURAS) team, you'll craft the digital experiences of millions of customers, agents, and employees. In this role, you'll use tools like Adobe Pro, Equidox, CommonLook, Colour Contrast Analyzer, and PDF Accessibility Checker, to ensure business documents are accessible to people using various assistive technologies. You'll advise and inspire the design and development of documents that are user-friendly and aligned with the intent of the communication. You'll also collaborate with stakeholders, provide training on assessments and remediation of documents, advocate for the users, stay abreast of industry trends, and uphold ethical standards. This is a remote position for US-based work only.

Must-have qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or higher in an IT or Business related discipline (such as MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of four years of related work experience in technical tool administration that involves creating, testing, configuring, updating, manipulating, and/or scripting technical tools or applications
  • In lieu of the above combination of education and experience, a minimum of six years of related work experience in technical tool administration experience creating, testing, configuring, updating, manipulating, and/or scripting technical tools or applications

Preferred skills

  • Experience complying with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 Levels A/AA, PDF/UA, and Matterhorn Protocol standards
  • Experience with document creation tools such as Microsoft Office, InDesign, etc. and using PDF accessibility testing and remediation tools such as Adobe Pro, PDF Accessibility Checker, Colour Contrast Analyzer, and CommonLook
  • Skilled in using assistive technology (Dragon Naturally Speaking, JAWs, NVDA, VoiceOver)
  • CPACC or IAAP Accessible Document Specialist certifications
  • Experience in remediating Forms in PDFs including the use of JavaScript


Compensation

  • $89,760 - $105,600/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
