POSITION SUMMARY

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for selling industrial cleaning services and managing the execution of the jobs sold. The ideal candidate excels in customer service, has strong people skills, and can successfully manage the relationship from sales to job completion in the field. .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Sales and Customer Development:
  • Actively seek new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with customers.
  • Identify customer needs and offer solutions emphasizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Branch Operations to maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and customers.
  • Participate in customer meetings and contribute to the setup of new customers in the system.
  • Provide cost estimates and assist in developing pricing strategies for potential projects.
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction by addressing complaints or service issues quickly and effectively.
  • Field Project Management:
  • Oversee the successful execution of industrial cleaning services, ensuring jobs are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage the job execution in the field, leading the team in ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer expectations.
  • Ensure all job-related data is accurately entered into the CRM for proper billing and documentation.
  • Regularly communicate with the Branch Manager and operations team regarding the status of ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Act as a safety champion, driving a zero-accident culture by correcting unsafe behaviors and promoting safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including safety procedures and best practices.
  • Support staff development by promoting automated equipment and techniques that drive safety and operational efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Work closely with Branch Operations to resolve service-related issues and ensure all resources are available to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to meet budgetary goals while maintaining customer satisfaction and job efficiency.
  • Assist in evaluating Field Service staff by providing input on performance and helping to identify areas for development and improvement.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support special projects and emergency response operations as needed.
  • Maintain and develop the company's image and reputation with customers and vendors.
  • Update skills and knowledge to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the successful operation of the branch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong sales and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in managing projects from sales through completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism, ethics, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and guide teams in the field.
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoors, confined spaces, or elevated environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform field-related physical tasks.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screening.
