Overview

We are seeking a full-time Senior EMC Technician (2nd Shift) in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for developing advanced test and procedures, independently setup and run complex procedures, identify issues and propose solutions.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and review advanced test schedules to determine which requests are ready for execution
  • Conduct prioritization activities, develop testing and communicate outcomes to the team
  • Develop and perform advanced testing by applying the appropriate level of measurement skills, equipment operation and tool utilization
  • Apply procedures and diagnose issues as required
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of test equipment and records
  • Develop, define and administer tests to align with engineering test procedures
  • Mentor less experienced Technicians (level 1& 2)
  • Move work and test equipment to and from work areas
  • Lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job description

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology OR Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field OR a minimum of 80 hours towards a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Technology or related field OR High School Diploma or GED with previous Military training OR Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Quality Technician experience in Calibration, EMC, RF, Antenna, Reliability, Electronics or related field
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools and measurement devices (hand tools, calipers, gages, etc.)
  • Demonstrated strong electrical aptitude related to operating electrical equipment and test devices (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop test/calibration schedules and operate equipment with little direction
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and understanding of electronics and mechanical theory and applications
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Access, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to lead or assist with Engineering processes
  • Ability to create custom test/calibration procedures, set-up and provide feedback on recommendations of improvement or equipment requirements
  • Ability to analyze testing/calibration and communicate this information and recommendations back to given stake holders
  • Ability to move work and test equipment to and from work areas
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job description

Desired Qualifications
  • Previous calibration, reliability, or electronics experience
  • Experience working in a calibration lab, test lab or engineering test environment
  • Experience with ISO9000, ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949
