Delivery Driver Associate ID-1846
About the position
As a Delivery Driver Associate for Amazon DSP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that packages are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner. This position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, enthusiastic, and customer-oriented. We are looking for team players who are eager to grow with our company. While previous delivery experience is preferred, it is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates, including military veterans. You will be responsible for handling and delivering packages, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations, and performing routine vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is functioning properly. The role requires you to be comfortable driving in various weather conditions and at different times of the day. You will utilize a hand-held device for routing and customer service, ensuring that you provide excellent customer satisfaction during deliveries. This physically demanding job involves lifting packages up to 50 lbs and getting in and out of the delivery van repeatedly throughout the day. You will need to keep pace with the demands of the job while working in all weather conditions and on various routes. To succeed in this position, you must possess strong time management skills to meet delivery deadlines and the ability to navigate using GPS. You will also need to interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage starting from $19.25, with opportunities for growth within the company.

- Successfully handle and deliver packages on time
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure proper functioning
- Be comfortable driving in varying weather conditions and times of day
- Use hand-held device for routing, delivery, and customer service
- Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction when delivering packages to our community
- Keep pace in a physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes; lift packages (up to 50 lbs.); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
- Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the United States
- Must hold a non-provisional, unrestricted driver's license
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (which does not include pre-employment testing for marijuana)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of local roads and routes is beneficial
- Ability to navigate using GPS and use a mobile device for completing customer deliveries
