We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Domain De-Duplication & EMC RecoverPoint Storage Engineer to join our growing IT infrastructure team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of disaster recovery and data replication solutions using Dell EMC RecoverPoint. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with data protection technologies, storage replication, and business continuity planning across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

· Deploy, configure, and maintain Dell EMC RecoverPoint for both local and remote replication.

· Extensive experience with Data Domain de-duplication ratio, source & target side deduplication & data protection

· Experience supporting both DDE 6800 and Data Domain virtual edition (DDVE) in a primary DC to secondary and tertiary data center topology environment

· Develop and maintain documentation related to RecoverPoint architecture and procedures.

· Participate in DR drills and contribute to the business continuity planning process.

· Stay current with product updates, industry trends, and best practices related to data replication and DR.

· Optimize performance and storage utilization across the FC SAN environment.

· Ability to support Data Domain processes to manage storage space requirements by minimizing redundant data

· Collaborate with compute, network, and application teams to align replication strategies with business continuity requirements and disaster recovery strategies.

· Monitor replication health and performance, ensuring SLAs are met.

· Provide tier 2/3 escalation support for RecoverPoint-related issues.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dell EMC RecoverPoint in enterprise environments.

· 5+ years of experience in enterprise block storage and Fibre Channel SAN environments.

· Strong understanding of replication protocols, architectures, and technologies.

· Hands-on experience with tools like EMC SRDF, RecoverPoint, Data Domain appliances or equivalent.

· Proficient with Brocade fabric management.

· Strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN/NAS), particularly EMC storage (VNX, Unity, VMAX, PowerMax).

· Configure and monitor asynchronous replication technologies (e.g., RecoverPoint, SRDF, MetroCluster, etc.).

· Familiarity with VMware environments and integration with replication technologies.

· Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.

· Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Certifications:

· Scripting (PowerShell, Python) to automate reporting or recovery procedures.

· EMC VNX Storage Arrays – 5500 & 5300 Block config expertise for decommissioning efforts

·Certifications such as Dell EMC Proven Professional (DECS-SA or DECS-IE)_

· EMC EMCIE Data Domain or Data Domain System Administration Certification
