In this role, you will be responsible for developing studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, and budgets related to the planning, design, licensing, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Exelon's electric transmission systems. You will provide consultation and recommendations to the company and other business units or customers based on your analysis of company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, or facilities. Additionally, you will review financial data from project budgets and actual costs, operating independently while seeking guidance when necessary. This position may require extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Your primary duties will include performing engineering tasks associated with critical engineering projects or multiple smaller projects with complex features, evaluating and implementing projects with moderate financial and operational impact, and potentially serving as an expert in a specific area, which may include delivering classroom training or on-the-job training. You will influence project decisions that have a moderate impact on the company, applying your technical knowledge to promote a safe work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Perform engineering tasks associated with critical engineering projects or a number of small projects with many complex features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 4-7 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory.
  • Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and advanced engineering principles necessary to perform very complex or unique assignments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering (reduces on-the-job experience requirement by 1 year).
  • Engineer in Training certification or 50% completion of an advanced technical degree, M.B.A., or Project Management Certification.
